The Basic Driving School is offered every Saturday and Sunday morning at 10:00am, for aspiring racers who are over 8 years old, but do not have a driver's license.

It's $50.00 per participant. There is a maximum of 8 participants per Basic Driving school, so please make a reservation to guarantee your spot. 

You can either come down the day of, or make a reservation ahead of time. If you want to make a reservation you can either come down and set one up in person, or call in and do it over the phone.  In order to make a reservation we require the full payment for the class, in advance.

After being registered, please arrive by 9:45 am as a membership form will need to be filled out prior to the class' start.

Upon passing the Basic Driving School, a Sykart membership will be provided. This will allow racers to run in any normal heat at a membership rate of $13 per 10 minute race as opposed to non-membership rates of $17.

The Basic Driving School Includes:

• One 20 minute in person briefing over the flags, rules, and basics of kart control by one of our instructors.
• Two 10 minute 'Follow the Leader' sessions. We teach the kids the racing line for the track, as well as stop any bad driving habits from forming. 
• One 10 minute 'Open Session' with just the kids out on the track to prove that they can handle the karts, without an instructor leading them.
